Biodiversities

Materials: ink, natural fibre papers (made by artist)

Technique: papermaking, drawing, lettering, pamphlet stitching

Size: 16cm (h) x 11cm (w)

Description: Trees are incredibly important for the future of our planet, and we must continually strive to preserve as many species as we can, in as many habitats as possible, before excessive land-clearing destroys our environment.

This book highlights this by describing the problem in ‘tree-language’. … each page features one letter of the word BIODIVERSITIES drawn in the shape of a tree, and each page also has a word starting with this letter, which combine to form a coherent sentence:

Biological
Individuality
Diverse
Interesting
Variable
Ecosystems
Requires
Systematic
Investigation
To
Improve
Environmental
Sustainability
