RESIDENCIES … for children of all ages
I really enjoy visiting schools and community venues as an Artist-in-Residence.
The timing and length of the program is negotiated to suit each school’s needs.
Maths through Papercraft Residency (Remedial or Gifted)
Making books and boxes, origami and creating folded cards provide practical ways to reinforce maths concepts (shape, pattern, symmetry, etc). These residencies can be structured to provide hands-on activities for students experiencing learning difficulties in maths, or to extend gifted children as they explore creative variations.
“The classes have been very enjoyable, and provided an opportunity for growth in several skill areas for these girls who do not always gain the same successes in their education as their peers.”
