Scattered Arts competitions

Scattered Arts held their third art competition in October 2016, which was open to all Queenslanders.

I won several prizes!  It will be held again in 2017, with many different categories (for both adults and children), so I plan to enter again.

Scattered Arts is a not-for-profit community gallery at Camp Hill in Brisbane with a focus on supporting local artists and developing a sense of involvement within the Brisbane community. For over forty years we have raised funds for various charities and supported local groups in many ways, as well as providing a pleasant venue for our members to sell their work.

New members are always welcome, so if you'd like to join Scattered Arts and sell your work, please apply.
Visit the Scattered Arts website or the Facebook page.

I have  been honoured to win First Prizes in the all three previous Scattered Arts competitions.

In 2016 the theme was "Transformation".

My embroidered book "Four Seasons" was awarded First Prize in the Textile & Fibre category.

My hand-made book with calligraphy and photos, titled"Reflections", was awarded First Prize in the Photography category.

My polymer clay necklace "Transforming the Clay" was highly commended in the Jewellery category.

in 2014 the theme was "My Queensland" and my winning 3D entry was "Reef Recollections" (crochet and mixed media)

In 2015 the theme was "Reflections" and my winning 3D entry was "Redcliffe Remembered" (stab bound book with poetic phrases about my childhood)
