... my work is entitled "Alice's Amazing Coat of Quotes" and it was selected by Expertise Events as one of twenty finalists ... the coat features the Jabberwocky poem in gold, and embroiderd words from Alice, the Duchess and the Mock Turtle .. it is modelled here by my daughter-in-law Sonja.
"State of the Art 11" - 2QAQ touring exhibition
Where: Textile Art Festival, Brisbane Convention Centre, then throughout Queensland

... a juried exhibition of 18 quilts (minimum size of 50cm and maximum size of 150cm) ... the closing deadline was extended due to the Birsbane floods, and I made my quilt using the only fabric I could easily access after we returned home following the flooding ... my quilt entitled "Winners Never Quit" is filled with inspirational quotes to re-motivate me and inspire me when things seem bleak.
Queensland Quilters Challenge

... an exhibition of quilts in which participants had to use 70% of this challenge fabric on the front of a quilt, measuring 50cm x 70cm. I selected specific areas of the fabric from which to cut each letter of the alphabet for my work entitled "Aquatic Alphabet".
